Across cultures and continents, the modern male exists within an unspoken state of emotional and psychological crisis. You either know him—or you are him.

He is expected to achieve professionally, provide for others, maintain relationships, and remain socially present, all while quietly navigating an interior landscape marked by isolation, uncertainty, and unrest. Beneath the appearance of competence often lives a man searching for purpose, meaningful connection, and a way back to his own integrity.

The systems that contribute to his fragmentation are easy to find.

The places designed for his reflection, recovery, and return are not.

This is not merely an issue among many. It may be the issue beneath them all.

Whether by design, neglect, or a combination of both, contemporary society has systematically dismantled many of the initiatory structures that once guided fathers and sons into adulthood. In their absence, males are increasingly asked to perform at the highest levels of life without ever being given a place to practice. The result is a generation burdened by expectations, yet deprived of the spaces, language, and relationships necessary to meet them.

I believe in order to strike at the source of this crisis, we must design and develop dedicated practice fields where malekind™- fathers and sons- can gather while they are still willing—to engage in the difficult, necessary work of witnessing one another.

My work exists in service of that return.

Through art and assembly, exhibition and conversation, I seek to construct a road home—a paper trail leading adolescent and adult males back to themselves. Each installation, gathering, and written page serves as both artifact and invitation: a call toward reflection, responsibility, reconciliation, and recovery.

​

This is not the pursuit of perfection.

It is the pursuit of peace.

And every road back to peace begins with a witness.
